Psst - over the next week or so, I'll be sharing more about The Society - what's inside, why I created it, what the new members are already asking about, and more. If you'd rather not hear about it, but you'd like to stay on my general email list for Friday Five and/or other emails, you can click here, and I won't email you about The Society anymore. No hard feelings! I respect your inbox.
Hi Reader,
I could go on all day about why I think The Joyfully Managed Life™ Society is worth it. But I figured you might want to hear from the people who have already actually joined — in their own words.
When new members come into The Society, I ask them a few optional questions: what made you decide to join? What are you working on? What would success look like for you?
Their answers are so good that I want to share a few — because I have a feeling you'll see yourself in them.
On the decision to join:
"I've been waiting for this! Didn't even read many details of the program — I know it'll be great."
"Even after trying many different organizing systems and tools, I still struggle to stay organized and love the real-time support and accountability this offers."
"I know the value of one major shift that cascades into ease in many directions."
On what they're dealing with:
"As responsibilities increase, there are more and more balls in the air — so it's a challenge to know what to prioritize so that I can continue to have a positive impact AND have balance without burning out."
"I get everything done, but the process feels more stressful than it should. I tend to keep everything in my head, constantly looping over what needs to get done."
"I've tried a bunch of different tools — OneNote, To Do, physical planners, calendars, notebooks — but nothing really sticks."
"I need more structure but struggle to build it. If I forget what I'm trying to do, I just stop doing it."
"I'm running a start-up nonprofit as a one-person team. Getting and staying clear on my top priorities given many competing demands is a constant challenge."
On what they're hoping for:
"I want to feel more in control, like I'm finally staying on top of things."
"Strategies to really implement all of your great ideas. I've yet to ever really implement the weekly review."
"Tiny, small steps each week that build to a larger accomplishment."
"I want to feel supported and have a sense of community."
"I want to have clarity on my daily, weekly, and monthly priorities — and create the structures and routines for accomplishing those priorities."
Here's what I notice in all of these — and what I bet you notice too:
These aren't people who lack capability. They're not behind. They're smart, motivated leaders who are managing a lot and want it to feel less like a constant scramble.
That's exactly what The Society is built for. Not more information. Not another course to sit unopened. Just ongoing, practical support — from me, directly — that meets you where you are.
