Jessica's Friday Five: Road Trip App, Free Stanley Tumblers, & Summer Reading Printable

Hi Reader,

This weekend is a celebration of Mother's Day in the US. As someone who lost my mother last month, I'm sending love to you however this holiday is feeling for you. Here's what I won't be doing: playing flag football. My son's flag football league invited moms to join a flag football team for practices all this week and then a series of 4 games this weekend, culminating in a mom's flag football championship on Sunday. If I were to list 10,000 things I'd like to do for Mother's Day, flag football wouldn't be near the top or bottom of my list. Cheering you on if that sounds fun for you, though! I'm gonna attempt to sleep in and have some brunch.

  1. Free Stanley tumblers are back until Monday. I teach art once a month in my daughter's elementary school class. This week, for some reason, a bunch of the kids told me during the lesson that my daughter said I'd gotten a free Stanley and they all wanted to know how. 4th graders these days (I mean, they're not wrong, but I found it hilarious). Anyway, it is now the time of year for free Stanley mugs, so thanks, 4th graders, for reminding me to share. The deal ends in 3 days on May 13, so don't wait. Here's your easy 4 steps for a free Stanley tumbler - if you've already got one, give it as a gift! Or use it to bring ice pops to the beach or park this summer (this is my kids' favorite use of mine). Hundreds of you did this when this deal was live last year, so don't miss out if you haven't gotten yours yet!
  2. Ready to get organized in 2024? The Let's Hear It For The Moms Bundle has over 45 gifts on topics such as goal setting, self-care, and home management. Grab your free gifts today, including one from me! It's happening until Monday, May 13th.
  3. Emotional Eating: Do you struggle with binge eating, overeating, or emotional eating? That is not everyone, I know, but my friend Milda has a really good resource for anyone that does to help you regain control of your relationship with food. She's a Nutritional Therapy practitioner, and in this resource, she shares the most common mindset mistakes that keep people stuck in the vicious cycle of binge eating. It's a handy free tool that's worth checking out!
  4. Free Road Trip App: If you're planning a road trip soon, the iExit app is so good! It helps you find restaurants, gas stations, etc., that will be at future exits so you can better plan your stops. Also, get these conversation cards to make the chats with your fellow road trippers more fun.
  5. Summer Reading Bracket: I saw this on social media somewhere this week and thought it was so fun for anyone with kids. Basically, it's a bracket (kinda like March Madness) for summer reading spots (is the front yard or your bed better for reading? How about a fort vs. under the kitchen table?). I am absolutely using this with my family this summer and wanted to share.
