Jessica’s Friday Five: Send cookies to these 4 people in your life
Published about 14 hours ago • 2 min read
Hi Reader,
Sunday is International Women’s Day! Since 1911, this has been a day to celebrate women’s achievements. Since Sunday is also when Daylight Saving Time ends (move your clocks forward an hour if you’re in a location where the time changes), you may lose an hour of sleep (bummer), but as a silver lining, we'll each have an extra hour of daylight in the evening to celebrate the women in your life.
One more thing before we get to your Friday Five. The waitlist for my new monthly membership is open! If you want to be the first to know when doors open later this month (and get a special surprise), make sure to join the waitlist!
4 Types of People to Send Cookies To: It’s still Girl Scout cookie season, and we’ve got an entire list of cookie links from folks in our community. Order some for yourself or for someone else who could use a little extra joy in their life! I like to send cookies to friends experiencing loss or serious illness, to those who have recently lost their job, or to those I want to thank for how they're making the world a better place.
Plan your spring fun: Y'all, spring is right around the corner — and this year, I want us to actually enjoy it (not just watch it go by). The Spring Fun List Toolkit walks you through a simple process to figure out what matters to you this season, then gives you the printables, templates, and a 24-minute guided video to make it happen. It's intentional, it's doable in an hour or less this weekend, and it's under $10. Check it out. 🌸
Spend less with these companies: One of our most powerful weapons when fighting against injustice is where we spend our dollars. Regardless of our policy thoughts about immigration, most of us in America agree that the recent actions of ICE have been egregious. I appreciated this quick, informative video about how to spend less (or no) money with companies that are fueling the machine.
Get Shell’s Guide: One last reminder to grab Michelle Kelley Olsen’s (Shell’s) guide: “3 Steps to Curb your drinking habits without QUITTING!” It’s a supportive resource designed to help you recognize your roadblocks and work through challenges in a way that feels right for you. And remember, I’m not sure how long Shell is keeping this available. 👉 Get her 3-Step Guide here.
