Overwhelming workload? Here's the fix.

I'm excited to share more with you about Joyfully Managed Worklife over the next week or two. If you know you're not interested in this program at this point, I get it! That'll mean that I won't email you again about this topic, but you can stay on my list for Jessica's Friday Five and other topics you enjoy!

Hi Reader,

One thing that often goes unmentioned is how overwhelming modern work life can be. Tasks and requests can be coming at you from SO many places (emails, chat, Slack, project plans, your calendar, any number of communication apps, social media messages, texts, written notes, task management systems, and more).

I asked my last cohort of Joyfully Managed Worklife participants about why they joined, and the vibes spoke directly to my own past experience:

  • "I got a promotion last year and since then have been drowning in emails, priorities, etc...to the point where I'm lost and overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I'm looking for a reset and real strategies to help tackle all of this and get out of this feeling of burnout I've been experiencing."
  • "We have a heavy meeting culture, and I have lots of stakeholders to manage and manage up to"
  • "Honestly, work right now is feeling like an endless series of frantic tasks."
  • "I'm waking up in the early morning hours with work stress on my mind regularly. It's exhausting."
  • "I need to figure out how to keep bigger projects moving along when there isn't an imminent deadline."
  • "With the challenges at work and the stress in my home life, I have less space/energy to compensate for my challenges with time management, organization, and prioritization. I want to not try to 'muscle through it' but instead get really clear on what helps me."
  • "I want to finish a workday for once and actually feel like I got 'enough' done that day. It never feels like that."

I've struggled with all of these, have studied and tried solutions, and have applied what I've learned in my own life, in my public and in-house workshops, and in coaching individuals for the last 20+ years. I've got clarity on the systems that work. And I know that getting those systems to stick is way more likely to happen in a group accountability setting.

So I went to work designing a program to help solve these specific challenges you shared with me. Spots are already selling daily, and if you'd love one of the remaining seats, I'd love to have you. It's live sessions, daily access to me for support and questions, and a crew of folks who will help you prioritize making real positive changes that you deserve in your work and life.

Ready to join us? Details and sign-up here. Grab time on my calendar if you want to discuss if this is a fit (I've got a few slots later this week for casual chats).

This can all be better. Let's make it so together, OK?

Jess

P.S. I also added a new resource here with tips on how to get your manager or boss on board to pay for your participation, including a sample email you can use to make the ask.
